Program Departs From Catania, or Palermo

Saturday 1st Day. Transfer from the airport to the Maugeri Hotel. or similar, in Acireale. Free time for looking around this pretty, little baroque City.
7:15p.m. Welcome Drink and a chance to sample some of the typical Sicilian "pasta" in a characteristic restaurant in the City Centre at 8:00p.m. Overnight.

Sunday 2nd Day. Breakfast. Full day excursion to Syracuse (Km 180). Guided Tour of the Archeological Park and of the Baroque Island-City of Ortygia. Return to your Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Monday 3rd Day. Breakfast. Full day excursion to Mount Etna & Taormina (Km 130), the Pearl of the Mediterranean (Greek Theatre & City Centre). Return to your Hotel. Dinner (specialties of the Etna area) and overnight.

Tuesday 4th Day. Breakfast. Departure at 6:45a.m. for the Aeolian Islands (Km 220). Short Cruise by private motorboat visiting two islands of the Archipelago (Lipari and Vulcano or Panarea). In the afternoon return and continue to Palermo with a short stop to see the pottery workshops of Santo Stefano. Arrive at the Hotel (Polys Himera or similar). Dinner (specialities of the Palermo area) and overnight.
Note: For autumn departures, the Cruise to the Aeolian Islands may be substituted with an alternative itinerary.

Wednesday 5th Day. Breakfast. Full day excursion to Segesta (Doris Temple) and Erice (delightful medieval City Centre, Km 300), pastry tasting. Return to your Hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Thursday 6th Day. Breakfast. Full day excursion, with guided Tour of Palermo (Cathedral, Palace of the Normans, Pretoria Square), Monreale (Cathedral) and in the evening a stroll through the Cefalu (Km 120). Dinner and overnight.

Friday 7th Day. Breakfast. Excursion to Agrigento (Valley of the Temples) and Piazza Amerina (Roman Villa of Casale, Km 300). In the evening continue to Acireale and accommodation at the Hotel Maugeri or similar. Farewell dinner at a restaurant and overnight.

Saturday 8th Day. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
